Walking with my Motorhome

We’re heading off to Shepton Mallet this weekend for a motorhome show (not much time for walking, methinks), but then going on to Brean Sands. We’ve printed out some interesting paths on maps from ** Streetmap **

We’ll see if anyone else is interested enough to explore the area in a semi-structured stylee.

Our OS map OL4 arrived today (North-Western English Lakes, 1:25,000). We ordered it online through the OS website – ** link to OL4 map online **.

Our order confirmation was received at 7.29pm on Sunday (6th September), and it arrived here today. Not a bad service. £7.99 and no postage costs.

We’re still researching campsites in the Lakeland area. There seems to be a wide number of differing types of site – from the small farm site with few facilities, up to Caravan Club or Camping and Caravanning Club sites.

I’ve started this blog because we’re about to start planning to do some of Wainwright’s fell walks, and use our motorhome as our base.
