Puppy (or handler) training

Last night, I went to what they call puppy training, although I’m perfectly trained already – it’s my handlers that need the training.

First of all, I got to meet loads of other dogs. It was very exciting! A few of them were really boring, and didn’t seem to like my brand of wild excitement. One of them even cowered behind his owner! I mean, come on guys, let’s have fun!

Anyway, the lady there talked lots, but then it was my turn to shine, by obediently walking from the funny lady to my dad. Unfortunately, I saw my mate on the other side of the room. I still had my lead on, so rather than drag it around, I picked it up in my mouth, and went to see my mate. Somehow, I don’t think this is what I was supposed to do.

The one good thing is that dad bought me a new harness – called a “Freedom Harness”, of all things. Anyway, it doesn’t hurt my neck anywhere near as much as that stupid collar and lead does, so I can go wild with my mates without coughing my guts up.

I’ll see if I can get someone to take a picture of me in it, so I can show you all. It’s red, which complements my golden curly coat very well.

Freedom!

Just to let you know how much of a big girl I am, I took my dad walking twice today, and once he let me off the lead on the beach, but then later on he let me off the lead in the park! All on my own!

I had lovely fun running around, and watching the children in the play park. Unfortunately, someone has put up a fence, so I couldn’t get in there and play with them. Still, it was fun though :)

Sick people

My carers seem to have come down with some illness. They both cough all the time, and worst of all, my walks aren’t as long as they were. Come on, guys, get yourselves together!

New bed!

Well, I’m just such a big girl now, I keep outgrowing my bed!

My night time crate is big enough, but my daytime bed was just too small, and I kept falling off the ends.

So mum and dad have bought me a lovely, comfy new bed. As you can see from the picture below, it’s big enough – for now!

Been away

I’ve been away on a big trip!

We went in this big car thing (mum and dad call it a motorhome), and it has a high comfy seat which lets me look out at all the things and people we pass. Anyway, we drove for ages and ages, and eventually arrived at this big field with lots of other motorhomes. Although it was quite cold, I met lots of nice people and lots of interesting dogs.

A couple of times, mum and dad went out and left me on my own. Anyway, I’m a big girl now, so I didn’t bark and complain, but went to sleep on my bed under the table.

My motorhoming bed
It was quite nice for me, to be honest.

I wonder when we’ll go away in the big van again?
