Tuesday for curry …

May 1st, 2007

… ‘cos Annie made a potato and cheesy peas curry. We did enjoy that!

Monday is meat day …

April 30th, 2007

… because Annie is still away in Walton. Paul and I had sirloin steak, with roast King Edward potatoes, and just some frozen veg. I don’t mind saying that the steak was done very well indeed – nice and tender, and not overdone, which is probably the first time ever.

Sunday – no Sunday dinner …

April 29th, 2007

… because we had a late lunch with Linda and Roger, who popped into the caravan, and brought some Lilley’s Cake. I had a sandwich on the way home.

Saturday …

April 28th, 2007

… and we had a ratatouille that Annie had prepared on Wednesday, with pitta bread.

Friday by the seaside …

April 27th, 2007

… because we were in Walton-on-the-Naze. Annie wasn’t hungry, but we walked into town to get fish and chips, and happened to walk past a new Indian Restaurant. We couldn’t go past without trying it out! I had no starter, but my main was a king prawn jalfrezi with special rice, which was very tasty. Oh, and lots of Cobra beer :)

Lazy Thursday …

April 26th, 2007

… when I wanted to strain myself to make pasta pesto, but Annie didn’t want it. End result, Paul made tea of frozen haddock in breadcrumbs with mixed (frozen) veg. It was rather nice, and I added some sundried tomatoes and a couple of chutney / pickle things.

Midweek munching …

April 25th, 2007

… and Annie made a ratatouille, which we all enjoyed, and there was enough left over to make a meal for the weekend where we plan to go to the caravan.

Tuesday nibbles …

April 24th, 2007

… round at John and Sue’s house. We had party food of onion bhajis, samosas, and little spring rolls. I do love party food. Almost as much as I love barbecue food.

Where have you been …?

April 20th, 2007

Or, more accurately, where have I been? I’ve had simply hundreds of emails (well, closer to … zero) (well, actually zero) asking where I’ve been with this astounding and compulsive blog.

Well, I’ve been migrating the blog over from one of my ‘pro’ domains to the ‘personal’ domain you’re enjoying it on now. This is so it doesn’t interfere with the serious and po-faced nature of the ‘pro’ domains.

I’m still going to be posting, of course. Well, who wouldn’t?

Monday more sunshine …

April 9th, 2007

… and it was back to Walton again. Lunch was similar to yesterday – pittas, humous and Baby Bel cheese with peppery salad leaves. We had a cake and coffee with Linda and Roger at the posh cafĂ©. At home, Annie made spaghetti with home-made pesto, and that was very tasty.
