… and we enjoyed an evening at John and Sue’s, to celebrate Sue’s birthday, where we had a variety of buffet food. I do so love buffet food, and could eat it till the cows come home.
… and Annie made mushroom and onion sauce with pasta.
… where we had John and Sue and Les and Rob round. We made a moussaka for the first time. Annie said the aubergine could have done with more cooking, but everyone else enjoyed it. For afters, we had a apple and summer fruit crumble, which was well scrummy! We finished off with cheese and biscuits.
… of pizza from Morrison’s. Not bad. Nice and easy.
Tonight, we went for a curry in Brick Lane with our friends John and Sue. We all had something different, but I had a mixed grill to start, followed by a chicken masala. It was nice, and a lovely evening out, but we’ve had better Indian food.
Annie made a lovely pasta sauce of mushrooms (with onions and other bits) which was really nice. We did some dodgy flat spaghetti with it. Enough pasta left over for lunch tomorrow, but no sauce, so I added some red pesto and grated cheese.
Tonight, we had some soup which we’d frozen from about a week ago. The only problem is that I can’t remember what’s in it, but it was nice, with a pitta bread.
Annie made a yummy curry of pumpkin and sweet potato and lentils and there was some left over for lunch tomorrow. Hurrah!
